If you are an author, agent, or publisher of YA Lit and would like for us to review your books, please contact us directly at submissions@teachyalit.com. We will respond within two (2) business days, and will do our best to accommodate special requests to publish reviews within a certain time frame. For example, if you are up against a publication date, or some major reading or other public event, we will most certainly endeavor to publish our review in conjunction with these dates.
We would love an opportunity to help promote relatively unknown authors, books, and publishers. We understand what it means to be small and the effort it takes to gain a foothold in this space. We are very open to ideas and proposals that will allow for some cross-marketing opportunities.
That said, we cannot guarantee that every review will be a positive one. We are readers in the real world, and every book is not our cup of tea. We will even try to find other readers to submit alternative views and reviews to our initial one. We are more than happy to accommodate responses--even rebuttals--to negative reviews, but we reserve the right to deny any content that we deem to be unkind or mean-spirited.
More than anything, our goal is to provide a comprehensive resource for a wide variety of readers. A little bit of dissidence is to be expected. But we will always endeavor to keep our tone respectful and constructive. We respect your decision to write and publish what you think is wonderful; please respect our opinions about just how wonderful it is. (And we, in turn, will respect your requests to reassert the wonderfulness of your work!)
You probably get the picture. You probably got it paragraphs ago. Nonetheless, if you have any further questions, please contact us!
